Wolfgang Waschiczek, 57, killed in a fall on Ama Dablam in Nepal a day after reaching the summit

Wolfgang Waschiczek, a 57-year-old climber from Germany, died on Monday on Ama Dablam in Nepal's Khumbu region. He reached the 6,812 meter summit on Sunday and spent the night resting at Camp 3. On Monday morning his guide stepped away from the tent for a few minutes and returned to find him gone. He had fallen about 1,500 meters. His body has been flown to Kathmandu and will be returned to his family. Please pray for his family in Germany, and for his guide Sonam Lama and the team who were with him.
