Richard Lloyd, guitarist and co-founder of the band Television, has died at 75

Richard Lloyd, the guitarist who co-founded the New York band Television and played on its 1977 album Marquee Moon, died on Saturday morning at his home in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He was 75. His family said he died of bile duct cancer, which was diagnosed in March. Doctors had been unable to operate on a tumour in his liver because it sat too close to a major blood vessel. His wife Sheila was with him when he died. Born in Pittsburgh and raised in New York, he played with John Lee Hooker before helping to form Television in the early 1970s. Please pray for Sheila, for his family and friends, and for all who are grieving him.
