Over 30 rescued and some still stranded as flash floods hit McCaysville, Georgia

Torrential overnight storms dropped 3 to 5 inches of rain on north Georgia from Wednesday into Thursday, and flash flooding swept through McCaysville, a town of about 1,000 on the Toccoa River in Fannin County. Police said crews carried out more than 30 rescues overnight, with water above the roofs of some homes and strong currents hampering rescue boats. Some residents were still stranded where crews could not safely reach them. Please pray for everyone still waiting for help, for families who lost their homes, and for the rescue teams working in dangerous water.
