Marty Erlichman, Barbra Streisand's longtime manager, has died at 97

Marty Erlichman, the entertainment manager who discovered Barbra Streisand and managed her career for more than sixty years, died on Saturday of age-related causes. He was 97. Born in Brooklyn in 1929, he also managed The Clancy Brothers and Tommy Makem, George Foreman and Chevy Chase, and produced films including For Pete's Sake and Coma. His family called him a devoted father, husband and grandfather, and Streisand said she had thought he would live forever. He leaves his wife Miko, their son J.J., daughter-in-law Talia and four grandchildren. Pray for comfort for his wife and family, and for Barbra Streisand as she grieves a friend who stood by her side for most of her life.
