Lord Cowie, retired Scottish judge and Scotland's oldest surviving rugby internationalist, has died at 100

William Lorn Kerr Cowie, known as Lord Cowie, has died aged 100. Born in Glasgow, he became an advocate in 1952 and served as a judge in the Court of Session and High Court of Justiciary from 1977 until 1994, later sitting on Botswana's Supreme Court. He won a cap for Scotland at wing forward against England at Twickenham in 1953 and was the oldest surviving member of the Faculty of Advocates. He was also a singer, angler, yachtsman and devoted family man. Please pray for his family and all who loved him as they mourn him.
