Hubert Aiwanger, Bavarian deputy premier, found dead in Berlin hotel at 55

Hubert Aiwanger, deputy premier and economy minister of the German state of Bavaria and leader of the Free Voters party, was found dead in his hotel room in Berlin on Wednesday. He was 55. He had travelled to the capital to open a party office but missed the event after feeling unwell, and police later found him in his room. The cause of death has not been established, and police and prosecutors have opened an inquiry. Bavaria's premier said his first thoughts were with Aiwanger's family and children. He leaves two children and his partner. Please pray for his children, his partner and everyone close to him as they absorb this sudden loss.
