Helene Hahn Loyd, Disney and DreamWorks executive, has died at 78

Helene Hahn Loyd, a film executive who helped lead Disney's revival in the 1980s and 1990s and later served as chief operating officer of DreamWorks SKG, died on October 24 in Park City, Utah, at the age of 78. She began her career at Paramount Pictures while studying law, became an executive vice president at Walt Disney Studios in 1981, and was known as a mentor to younger women in the industry. In Park City she was a keen skier. Her husband of more than twenty years, Chuck Loyd, died in July. Please pray for her family, friends and colleagues as they grieve two losses in a few months.
