Dolores Huerta, labor leader, has died at 96

Dolores Huerta, who co-founded the United Farm Workers union with Cesar Chavez in the 1960s, died on Wednesday in California at the age of 96. Her family shared the news in a statement, saying they are deeply saddened and asking for privacy as they grieve. Born in New Mexico in 1930, she spent most of her long life organizing farm workers and their families. She leaves behind her children, grandchildren and a wide circle of people who worked alongside her. Pray for her children and all her family as they mourn their mother and say goodbye.
