Baby Matthew, nine months old, critically ill in Hong Kong and unable to fly home to Mansfield

Nine-month-old Matthew from Mansfield, Nottinghamshire, caught influenza A while visiting family in Hong Kong with his mother Sofia in July. He suffered three cardiac arrests and has been unconscious on a ventilator ever since. More than three months on he remains critically ill, too unwell for a commercial flight, and the family's insurance does not cover a medical flight. The charity Lia's Wings is appealing for help to fly him and his mother back to the UK, where his dad is waiting. Pray for Matthew, for Sofia at his bedside, and for his father at home.
